We just launched our Full-time Airstreaming Blog

Well, I announced my retirement today that will start this summer when my wife and I begin living and traveling in our Airstream full time.

Our first blog entry was just made and we would love for you to follow it and give us comments, feedback and advice.

Our 2001 30' Excella is called "Beauty" and the blog is called "Living In Beauty"

Hope to see you on the road.

We LOVE the podcast feature! Our morning rituals, at home and on the road, revolve around AL quoting snippets from our blog friends while Patty clatters around the galley.
Who? Where are they now? Do you want orange juice?

With the podcast it it's like having guests for breakfast, a little mini rally. You are welcome at our table any morning. See you on the road come summer.

Patty and Al

Props to you for starting the blog! We've always meant to blog about our project, but most of our time goes towards the project itself!

Looking forward to reading and happy trails!

Nice blog. If you are ever in Mississippi you can camp in my driveway or visit with me in some local campgrounds.
Have fun.
Enjoy it.

What service (not sure what the term is) are you using to host your blog?
Thanks

M. Hony, my wife and I are from Mississippi. Me, Port Gibson and Crystal Springs. My wife's father still lives in Decatur. MS.

As a matter of fact, when we purchased our Airstream from Larry Cook last April, my wife's father drove it from Alabama to Mississippi for us, where it stayed until July when we could fly out and drove it back to San Diego.

What part of Mississippi are you located?

Jim

We did a lot of research and found WordPress.com was what we wanted.

They have a starting package that is free (we upgraded to the $99 year so there would be no advertisements). They host the site and have all kinds of great tools to make it happen very easily.

Hope that helps.

Jim

Nice Blog, thanks for sharing !

The podcast feature is very cool. Is that a wordpress plugin? Is Carmen Narrating? She has a fantastic voice !

We've also started a blog ourselves. We're doing a gut renovation of an Argosy 26, and then plan to post our family adventures as we explore the National Parks this summer...

DDOK,

Thank you for the considerate comments

To answer your questions:

The podcast is a wordpress.com feature. All we have to do is upload the MP3 file to our media library and then insert it into the blog.

My wife Carmen is a voice artist who does audio books and audio eLearning, Carmen Beaubeaux - Voice Actor. It is her voice in the podcast and she plans to include a podcast with each blog.

We have 'followed' your blog and look forward to reading about what you are doing.

Thanks Jim! OK, that totally makes sense Carmen is a voice actor, she's a great speaker. Hopefully we will see you on the road this summer ! Our plan is to head west from Oklahoma and hit the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Napa and lots of other places along the way starting mid June.

We just posted our second blog about why we would leave paradise and go off traveling full time for years in an Airstream. It's called "Da Plane! Da Plane!" for all of us old enough to know the reference.

Check it out at www.LivingInBeauty.net. Hope you decide to click the follow button and follow the adventure.
