Way to go! I was thinking about adding 1000 posts to his total -- figured he'd have that many more if things only ran smoother with your internet. What are friends for?

Nothing ever is easy...

So far, I've seen the install, and accessed about 5 web pages. Here are my initial thoughts:
Speed is good.
The installer followed the most important directive: "Drill no holes!"
The installer doesn't know a bumper compartment from a sewer access compartment.
He hard-wired the connections, so we can never leave without ripping out the fiber optics for the entire campground.
Other than that, it is fine.

Sophie is a doll!

I just caught up on your thread tonight. Looks like you've got a great girl there. Now, instead of tearing up the whole refrigerator.... just teach Sophie to fetch your beers! Undoing the door latch may be the hard part, though. With a home refrigerator, you can just tie a towel to the handle and the dog can open it.

I'm so happy she just jumped in the truck and made the decision for you. That is a great story.

Something, and something else.

Last week, I noticed the air conditioner ran and ran and ran, resulting in the air temp in Bertha to become less than 60 degrees, while the thermostat showed it was over 90. This was coupled to a rise in the temp in the fridge...
Thinking the worst, I carefully checked the fridge, and found nothing obviously amiss. I thought hard, and remembered that the trees we have been under have been shedding leaves for the last couple of weeks.
I grabbed the ladder, and went up on the roof again. At 10 PM. While it was raining. I looked over the fridge vent, and found it was packed with dead, dry leaves. Terrific. A high heat source filled with very combustible fuel. Sigh. I live for this stuff. I cleaned all the leaves out of the vent area, and was rewarded by an immediate drop in indicated temp on the thermostat, as well as more "coolness" in the fridge.
This is now fixed, but I am wondering how to keep it from recurring. Climbing on the roof every few days to make sure the vent is not clogged with dry leaves is not my idea of fun. I can only imagine what might have happened if we had been out of town for a couple of weeks when this happened.
Tomorrow I get to install the rear awning.

Leaves in fridge vent

Vacuum cleaner with a long hose and pipe. Or is there any way you could blow it out, especially from the inside? Or maybe train Sophie to do it?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to have to figure something out to minimize the problem, if not eliminate it altogether.

This morning dawned grey and overcast, with more than a hint of rain in the air. My back was throbbing, as well as the pains from my hip, to let me know something was going on in the weather department. One of our forums friends showed up around 10 this morning, and we proceeded to rip off the old ersatz zip-dee wannabe off the back of Bertha. Everything preoceeded pretty smoothly, until the heavens opened on us. Everything but the little C cups that hold the prop rods on the window frame. It being a rear awning, I am told we can't use the center strap hook to hold the awning open, the rear window is a fire escape. If this thing caught fire, that little fabric strap wouldn't slow me down a bit when I exit stage right...
Anyway, if it stops raining today, I'll snap a couple photos of the new install.
