South Dakota mail services

Anyone have any experience with the various mail forwarding services in South Dakota? Looking to use SD as our domicile, changing licenses, plates, etc. Several to choose from, looking for suggestions. Thanks

I can highly recommend My Dakota Address in Madison. Have been with them since June 2007 and am 100% satisfied with their service. And they are very inexpensive. If you decide to use them tell Ms Lund that 484 sent you.

MyDakotaAddress.com in Madison SD. The woman I worked with was Terri, I think she is the owner. She did an outstanding job for me and has a great relationship with the courthouse people. Owning that little box in SD saved a lot of money.

Thanks for the quick reply. Also I forgot to ask if anyone has had any issues with not having a strictly residential address while full timing. The various services offer a physicAl address but not technically a residential one. Something about the Patriot Act requirments

Yes. They refused to send me one of those television upgrade coupons several years and I got no census forms. Other than that - no problem.

South Dakota questions...

I have read this post thread with great interest and see a lot of good info..

What I do not see or could find on the My Dakota Address website was:

1. On the vehicle tax issue.. if I bring in my unit from out of state, how is the value determined for tax purpose. ??
can someone explain to me this license fee schedule.. (typical government document.) http://www.state.sd.us/drr2/motorveh...ly/trailer.pdf

2. A drivers license is only 20 bucks but how long before it needs to be renewed??... like in NC we go for some 7 yrs between renewals.

hope everyone had a merry christmas..
