Heck, Skater, we love our shower! And it's great incentive to keep myself somehow trim -- it'd be a bear to not fit.

We watched a guy looking at an RV Show at one of these CCDs with corner washroom. He poked his head into the washroom, withdrew, shook his head and said, "Nope, just wouldn't work".

No wasted space, for sure, but enough for either of us. And then we can look forward to the family showers at some parks, shower together and save water. Yea!

most of the newer streams have benches in the shower along the wall because of the wheel well.

2air, I thought you said you always used the comfort station for showers in another thread saving the shower to preserve the value of the trailer...never used shower?

Is that a tub in your B-van? Talk about fitting it all into a small space.

Well, it has a stopper, and I guess you can fill it - if you need to soak your ankles.

I see you have the infamous "Shrub". I never realized until I just now typed this that it looks like you have a plant growing in your Airstream!

Sorry, my bad. I remember you posting in that thread and my memory of what and by whom isn't what it used to be.

Wasted storage space

Believe it or not there is more wasted storage space in my little wet bath than in any other place in the trailer. If I build a cabinet that wraps around the roadside wall and bulkhead over the toilet it will not interfere at all with taking a shower or sitting the throne, and I'm 6'3".

SHrUB = SHoweR + tUB. Shower/tub combo. Shrub is how I've seen it referenced on this forum, if not mistaken. I'll try to find a reference and post a link.

Ahh, okay. Never saw that one before.

The shrub end of it isn't so bad. It's the lack of room above it that makes it painful.

You will work it out. As a newbie I thought it would be better to use the park showers until I visited a couple of questionable ones! Now I love my trailer shower. It does the trick!

The way I dealt with it was just to remain fairly short ... at 5'9", it's just fine with me!

So the biggest issues for me are 1.) water usage if I'm boondocking - and I deal with that by taking the submariner's shower and plugging drain and collecting some of the water for toilet flush use, and 2.) humidity in the trailer, esp. in cool weather - this is a biggie to me ... so I run the fan, squeegee down the walls, floor, etc. after I'm all done, hang towels outside to dry if the weather permits, etc.

Sometimes even in commercial campgrounds I'll shower in trailer, because the shower is yucky, or no hot water, or closed for cleaning this month, or etc.

Overall, it works great, and I'm glad I've got it! Never had one in a tent, though I used to have a little water-bag shower thing that I'd even take backpacking!

I just stoop a little and all is good. I also take "hollywood" showers (ie leave the water running the whole time) and as long as I cut the flow down a bit the hot water lasts at least 10 minutes.

It's not often where being a smaller person is a bonus, but I guess taking showers in a campground is one of those times where smaller is better!

I'm 5'1" and never had a problem with the shower or the corner bed. However, reaching for things in the upper cabinets.... now that's another story.

I am 5'17", so while upper cabinets are never a problem for me, there is NO trailer shower into which I fit standing up.

Nor do I pass under the bulkheads between the sleeping area and the kitchen without ducking. I try to remember to always wear a hat in the TT.
