Santa Cruz, places to stay?

We are full timers living in our 27ft overlander. We are heading to Santa Cruz till march, and are wondering if anyone has ideas as to how to find a place we can park/have full hook up in that area.

We've checked a few RV campgrounds, so there are some options (expensive!), but i'm wondering if there's some kind of resource of people that might have a RV pad on a property, or somethign other than RV parks we can look at.

I checked on craig's list but not sure what to even look under.

Thoughts? ideas?

New Brighton State Beach has full hookups and is right on the coast. The issue being whether or not you will be able to get in due to the states budget crisis. Seacliff State Beach also has full hookups but hard to get reservations.
