I have decided to make the plung. I am now seriously looking for a late 90's 30' with a dinette and twin beds w/the gaucho in tack.
Here's my idea - I am attending a School of Ministry in Redding, Ca for 9 months. I live in Colorado. I want to buy my A/S somewhere close to Redding and have the seller deliver it to the park I have chosen.
I will live in it for the 9 - 10 months then decide on a TV at the end to tow her home.
I want the twin beds as I want to take the mattress off one of them and turn it into a desk.
I'm a total newbie, but have been obsessed for a couple of years now and have done ALOT of homework.
When I find something that seems just right, is there a way I can put it out here and you guys who know so much could look at it for me and tell me what you think? I'm really ill equipped to get into a 'fixer upper' and don't want to make a mistake.
Make sure it has a great A/C and try to get a shaded lot. Redding gets a little more than warm in the summer....lol Other than that, a 30' is a wonderful size for full timing...sounds like you've done your homework.
This one was just posted on the Forum. I called and talked to the Granny. It's been housed since she's owned it, but it's at the Alabama and Florida border. I got some quotes from U Ship It and the least expensive was $ 2,500 to bring it to Ca from it's home. Plus the Granny needs it moved in a week. Which is about a month and a half too early for me. But I thought the unit itself looked great for a 94'. The RV dealer in her town doesn't go inspect used units, so I did try to find out about that as well.
My niece went to that school and is now teaching in Southern Oregon. If it gets too hot, get on 299 and head for the coast! That looks like a nice coach, maybe some forum members can find you one a little closer.

My price range is $ 12,000 - $ 20,000. Obviously lower would be better. The 1994 that sold in 2 days last week on the forum looked to be a beauty and was listed at $ 13,500. Too bad it was across the country from me. Thanks for watching with me.
