I'm Envious
This looks like "The Life" to me. A pretty fun blog and website to follow if you're considering fulltiming:

Hi, while in Eugene, Oregon we took the tour at the Monaco factory. And if we ever consider full timing, we will consider the Monaco Vesta.

That's a really cool RV the Wynns have -- wow! And a slick web site too. Neat work. Thanks for sharing it.

Just watched the video tour of their RV the day they picked it up from the factory. She says "we added solar panels to keep all of our electric appliances running" as she points to the microwave. She was in for a surprise.

Their rig is spec'd with two L-16 6v batteries, that's 420 amp hours. Won't this run the microwave with a 2000 watt inverter? Won't affect us, we don't have but a 150 watt inverter we use for recharging laptops. (although we are now running with over 460 amp hours of golf cart batteries - sweet!)
Theirs is a cool-looking moho, tho.

microwave
Your batteries are up to the job of running the microwave for limited periods of time but the 150 watt inverter will definitely not cut it. Most microwave usage is quite short but while running uses alot of energy. I would say a 1500-2000 watt inverter as a minimum.

They recently dumped their old Vesta for a new Excursion 33D. I'm a few years behind all of you digging on other sites besides Airforums. I like the look of their site too. I could not believe they were in their twenties, bought a brand new RV and now, three years later, are buying another brand new RV. It is amazing but in my twenties, I was either going to college or working for less than $25K a year- during all of my twenties! Ah, the life of a teacher.

I love following these guys too. Even if we can't afford a new RV every couple years, if we really wanted to I'll bet we could find a way to make a living on the road and get out there with what we've got. Not brave enough to try yet.

Well paid photographers and marketers, they've really made a muse out of what they do, and done a lot of promotional work. Great inspirations for finding a way to make money doing what you love.

LOL, well yeah but that cute little face showing up behind yours in the pic is SO worth it! Yes, they do have a cool setup. I am still working on the funding part! I have always loved traveling-covered all but South A. and Antarctica and still have some states to go.

Hi, after only about three years of the Monaco Vesta, and the factory in Eugene being shut down, I think the Vesta is no longer made. [last time I checked] Then the Wynns getting rid of their Vesta makes me think there was a big problem with this motorhome or it was just not as popular as we thought it would be. Un-comfirmed, but once told that the front engine motorhome was quite noisy. [engine noise]
