I am or was confused about full timing
I just realized that I am confused about what the term full timing means. You all live in your trailers full time... I thought it meant that you are working on it full time. I had planned to full time it for the next two weeks, but now it doesn't feel as glamourous.

Hi. There are a lot of people that full time/live in their campers. I think it would be fun, but cant talk John in to it. I visited an Airstream park here in Tn and there are about 30 couples who live there year round. The host and her husband have been living there since 1972. They all say they love it. I suppose it would be a preference. It would cause one to get rid of a lot of "stuff" that we tend to accumulate. I for one, would be willing. I also met some nice folks from the forum that fulltime. They travel around the US and love it also. Im sure there are pro's and con's and people will start to chime in shortly.

Not glamourous?
You just need to buy yourself a box of Bon-Bons and put on some feather slippers... you'll feel glamourous... then make sure to post some pictures.

That's what I want to do more, full time-part time! It really helps you access what a person really needs to enjoy life. We have lots of downsizing and culling out to do even if we maintain a residence. We find it very refreshing and freeing to do with so much less. However after a long time out it still is a pleasure for us to return home for awhile. So we aren't "there" yet but we can appreciate the lifestyle the fulltimers live and see how far we can get in that direction.
But glamorous...well glam is in the eye of the beholder and the person out there voguing ...more like living deliberately and being adventurous, relying on ingenuity from time to time and handling the unexpected.

Full time worker -- FTW (poor bastards*, sorry for you)

working FULL time
Overlander62,
As your question reveils you are still in the distorted haze brought on by a new love and cannot tell the differance between the time spent working on the trailer and what it was actually to be used for.
The differance between the terms has been been explained by earlier posts very well so far.
The early love phase will fade if restoration extends several years and your "full time" work will evolve into the final phase of restoration, which is "Hard Time". This includes budget denials, always finding sites closest to the campground restrooms, because you tore out the original bathroom and possibly the worst sitution of all, multiple trailer disorder. This is when you resort to purchasing another trailer that has at least two working items to attend rallies and also has a part you can steal later for your favorite trailer.
We all know these people! Always keep your eye on the prize...that is to get the old girl back on the road and out having fun. Part time, full time, anytime.

Sorry everyone this was my attempt at humor, I know the difference between full timing and working full time. I even know the difference between right and wrong. I have trouble with right and left due to dyslexia though.

Brother you have my love for you own the right year... But I ask, what if we are using Anna for her intended purpose come April? What if I don't let it drag on for years? Is it not possible to get it done or very close to done in a few months time? With a little dedication and ambition mountains can be moved
Zep,
I want you to know I have never felt like such a young buck as I do reading your posts... you act so young, but you keep telling me I am a youngin. How old are you old man? Do you want my address so you can send the ex by? I am looking for a bucking partner and maybe she would fit the bill. I look forward to sitting down face to face with you so you can see my petraglyph photos.

Hi, Tammy. I don't know about you, but I need more room than what's inside of my trailer to set up and use my sewing machine.

Hi, Michelle. From what I've read about you lately, "I live in mine full time" means your tow vehicle; And your Airstream, part time.

I take care of a disabled person, and made the trailer his future purchase from the back pay of SSI, he freaked at first but now as time goes by and we realize how well built this house is, it is a great way to go to sleep at night knowing you are in an airstream...I myself work outside as an artist doing various projects with an airbrush that a computer CAN'T do (heh heh)...Now we will be able to go on down the road so he can get the most of his retirement by traveling...so w eare full timers and the airstream is the only shiney thing in this RV park right now and everybody knows we are here and enjoy the sight of it...
