Hello Dona - Welcome to the Forums!

I don't understand what your husband is trying to remove. Further description and maybe photographs would help. Here is a thread on adding photographs - http://www.airforums.com/forums/f138...eds-31829.html.

Thanks!

check out the polishing threads.

also check out this article by vintage trailer supply; it describes removing the clearcoat, if you have one, and also the polishing process.

Welcome to the forums from a fellow 29' owner. Ours is still fairly shiny, I found out that one of the previous owners had it recoated but even it's starting to wear thin. I plan on following the posts in the polishing section to strip and wax my unit.
