Fulltiming Vintage - Moving to Austin!

Hey guys!

After years of searching, dreaming, I finally joined the Airstream owners club last month. I purchased a 1970 Overlander and will be full timing in Austin, TX while I complete graduate studies in architecture at UT next fall. If there's anyone else in living the dream in town, let me know! I'm always eager to swap stories and get advice. I can't wait to move into the old fellow once I'm done renovating. Here are some photos. Enjoy!

Thats a nice home you will have. Look for the other Vintage guys around and get involved. It will fit your study schedule.

Welcome to Air Forums and vintage Airstream ownership. That is a nice looking Overlander. Maybe the drier southwest has been kind to this old girl through the years.

Now you get all the relief and disappointments of doing a through analysis of the trailer's systems. Expect to find things like this light doesn't work, the fan won't run, the furnace won't heat, or why is there water seeping out from under the shower. It seems like there is always a project list for these old trailers. It's part of the fun for me.

You have a lot of new friends here who have fixed everything that could ever go wrong with an old Airstream. All you have to do is take a photo and ask. At least that has been my experience.
