If you were to stay in one place why have an Airstream. That's what houses are for!

Moving - THAT is what IT is all about!

Having been in one place for a week - I can say that MOVING is what IT is all about!!!

Seen all there is to see here - looking to move again. Then again I don't get this feeling when I am in the bricks and morter home.... AS Winderlust???

Must be.

AS Wanderlust!!!!!! Love it!!!!

Hard Question to Answer

I tend to move to an area and center out of there
with mini trips to and from that area.

I get attached to people and places. Easier to pick
up an odd job too.

Truth be told I like monthly rates better than weekly
and weekly better than per night.

Re: Stationary or mobile

I know AS are meant for travel, but my circumstances call for simplification. I think one would make a wonderful efficient cocoon of a stationary home. I'm currently looking.

I full timed for about 5 years and was on the move most of the time. I love to explore. The seasons tended to dictate my moves north and south and exploring east ans west. When people ask me "whats my favoite place" I normally respond "for What?" as I tend to like all places but for diffrent resons.

I rarely stayed in one place more than two weeks since that's the limit at most goverment campgrounds. I devised ways to boondock for two weeks at a time on public grounds.

Now I have a homebase in Florida and my RV trips are shorter but I can't seem to get the life style out of my system.

My wife and I live full time in our Classic 31 out of New Orleans, LA. We take lots of mini trips as we are both full time military.

Because, you can't just hook up to your house and drive off if you get the urge!

I have been RVing since the 70's and full time since '95. I really love it! But a couple of years ago, (3 to be exact) I purchased some land near El Paso and haven't gotten around to leaving it yet! But I like the idea that I can just hook up anytime I want and go somewhere.

Mobile most of the time

We are on the move most of the time. We purchased a 2006 25 ft Safari LS and hit the road fulltime September 6, 2006. My husband was a Pastor and we are now on the road in Evangelism fulltime. We have been in Upstate New York from September through November then back to North Carolina for the holidays and then headed out a couple of days after Christmas and was back in Upstate New York for meetings starting December 31 through the end of January. Headed to Indiana and Iowa and was heading to California (through Dallas) when our 6 weeks of meeting were cancelled for a later date.
OUCH!! So we are staying at a campground around Dallas until at least the middle of March. Our first meeting will be in Iowa the 22nd of April. So.... we are knocking on doors trying to set up meetings here.
Dallas area seems "TOUGH"!
Anyway..... this is the first time we have had to pay a month at a campground.... BIG OUCH! But the weather is good here. Better than 25 below we had in Iowa.
If any of you have storage, organization tips I would really appreciate it. Kitchen organization and dirty clothes (where to keep them) are my biggest challenges. Also... do all of your freezer's freeze good. Our icecream is "VERY SOFT".
