I thought it looked like N, but since you said it was a prototype, perhaps the gauge was an experiment too. I didn’t notice the tunnel. You could use a trestle, put it on the floor, and run tracks to your bathroom. It would add entertainment circling the throne. It would also amuse your “Toilet Model.”

Our daughter in law suggested one that runs overhead, and I agreed to that one cause I like the trains too.

I have to admit, I have been looking at N gauge stuff and trying to figure a way to incorporate some in my Excella. I still remember my brother’s old Lionel 027 stuff. But hey, China Lake had some appeal.
For those of y'all that are too young to remember, China Lake was an area that was subject to above ground nuclear tests. It's especially fitting name for that area of Bertha after some of my 4 alarm chili is processed...

Surface prep consisted of scraping off the old gasket, removing as much of the old adhesive as posible, and applying more adhesive. I then stuck the gasket to the adhesive.
Thanks Terry. Sounds easy enough. We weren't sure if there was a final wipe down of denatured alchohol or something of that nature to prevent adhesion loss.

You don't have to go to your room.. I agree with you because I really like the trains. also. Go for the n gauge, they are the best for airstream layouts, and the one Terry has is perfect to sit on the table, and it comes in a box that the layout can sit in and then be closed and put away.

I'll be dispatching unit tank trains of Aqua Chem liquid holding tank additive from the living room to China Lake. Loading and unloading facilities will be constructed at each end of the railroad...

I like the Aqua Chem idea. My old idea was to build 027 tracks around my house at about the plate rail level. Then cut a door in the side of the refrigerator and modify one of the model log loaders to handle my favorite beverage. I could send the train to the fridge from the comfort of my chair and retrieve a nice, cold St. Pauli Girl Dark without moving. The ultimate remote control accessory. Would be great for the March Photo Contest.

LGB makes a functioning tank car that could be used for beer transport, but it is G scale. G is the huge stuff you run in the garden, I can see this being very useful if you are in the backyard.

A use for all those plastic grocery bags we've been saving...
We were found by a couple that had a relatively small dog they needed to find a home for. We drove over there this evening to take a look. As soon as we pulled up in the driveway and opened the door of the truck, a 15-20 pound (we'll know for sure at the vet's tomorrow) dog came tearing out of the house, ran over to the truck, jumped in, and sat down on the seat.
"Okay, I'm ready to go, what kept you?"
Her name is Sophia, shortened to Sophie, as pets tend to respond better to two syllable names. She is a 3 year old Spaniel/Daschund mix. She loves the truck, so much so we had a little trouble getting her out when we got home.
I have my reservations about adopting a new pet so soon after the loss of Cookie, but she would have had to go to the pound if we hadn't taken her. She is quiet, loves people, and seems intelligent. She also seems easily distracted, so she will be on a leash when outside. She knows to fetch, sit, stay, go out, come in, get in the truck. I'll see if she also knows roll over... Awww, looks like she's found her gravy train (pun fully intended!!)! You may not think it is time to get another one after losing one you had and loved, but Someone out there knows the right time. She will help you heal and possibly distract Marie while you set up the China Lake Express...
