Full timing in a 16 footer…ok not really but...

You guys must be experts at maxing-out effective use of space so I'm interested in ideas for improving the bathroom cabinet in my recently acquired (yay!) 2006 16' CCD. Unless I'm missing something (or the cabinet is), it's entirely useless for storage because the shelves have no lip so stuff just falls out when you open the door.

I've posted a thread about this under 'Restoration' but had no answers yet.

Add little tention bars. Mine has built in bars.

We use these and they work great. It leaves room on the side for larger items. Mine also has built in bars but they set low.

A nice new cabinet that actually works would probably be the best option but we're trying to save a bit of money as we've only just got the AS. So I've gone for the cheap and cheerful shock-cord approach. We'll test it out for real next weekend.

If you google "packet pockets", you will find these little items, which the Container Store used to carry but didn't come up this a.m.

We have them in the upper cupboards of the galley, attached with small screws, and they are very handy for small items. Also use vertical wall space.

You can attach with 3M mounting tape, being sure to clean your surface good.

We also found a small, tension-rod, corner, basket-type organizer for the corner of the bathroom beside the toilet. Works very well, holds shampoo, etc.
