I use an Aircard (verizon), Free Wifi, or bum a computer from someone to read my webmail. FWIW Yahoo and Gmail have been the best for me.

I think Neenie is asking about postal mail as opposed to email.

Rich Luhr (Airstream Life editor) has some good input on mail forwarding services in his blog entry of 11 Nov: Man In The Maze Well worth a read.

Mail Sevice for FTers

Neenie,

We are fters and use Alternative Resources (www.alternativeresources.net)
in Soux Falls,SD. They take care of our mail including certified, registered, packages including UPS and FedEx,etc. We have them forward it to us at our request.

You might want to talk to them not only regarding mail. We changed our domicile to SD due to no state income tax, insurance rates for AS and TV are some of the lowest in the U.S.
We cut our annual insuance rates by two-thirds when we changed domicile from Arkansas to SD. We carry Fters insurance on the AS and full coverage on TV. For insurance you can contact John at Dougherty and Assoc.(www.doughertyassoc.net). John does a comparision of coverage for different companies to find the best rates for you. This is at no cost to you. He understands fters insurance needs.

Alternative Resources also takes care of our vehicle licsense and registration for $10/vehicle. We were only required to spend 1 night in Sioux Falls for residency and voter registration.

We have been with Alternative Resources and Dougherty going on 2 yrs and their service is outstanding.

Hope this helps, 'shaker

Neenie:

The Escapees organization provides support for fulltimers and extended timers. The mail forwarding service one selects usually is in the state the fulltimer selects as their state of domicle. Here is the link to the Escapees mail service.
