Full-Timing and LOVING It
Through a great personal upheaval in my lifestyle I found myself forced into living much more frugally (divorce is an awful thing). I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Airstreams so I finally decided to move into that direction. So with help of some friends and a LOT of testicular fortitude I took the plunge and got a 1975 25' Trade Wind International.
Boy it was rough. No flooring, broken appliances and dirty as heck. But with a tremendous amount of elbow grease and some help from the wonderful folks on this board I finally moved into my AS the day after thanksgiving. Some small issues with water heaters, refrigerators and the occasional bump on the ol' coconut but overall I happy as a clam. I'm routinely surprised at the storage in these things. Very well thought out.
My kids absolutely love it too when they come to visit.
Eventually I will remake over the interior and exterior but for now its meeting my needs (not my wants).
If you have a suggestion on how to make full timing more enjoyable I'd love to hear your story or suggestions.
