Are you using a weight distribution hitch? If so, what brand and size?

When the trailer is hitched and weight distribution bars set, measure the distance from the lower belt line trim to the ground at the front of the trailer and the back of the Airstream. They should be the same, if not the hitch or receiver drop bar is not adjusted properly.

Very good choice all around JK. 3/4 ton diesel is the ticket for effortless travel with the 30. If you are living in it, again the 30--just 3 ft longer than 27 or 28 (30'11"). And yes, thank God you got the A/C right with two units (ducted or not, you want two here in San Antonio). 100 plus every day, but cools down to the 80s at night. Here is a little gem for your wardrobe storage when you get here and feel like going shopping at the Container Store:

Send me a PM when you get here if you want more detail.

Did you get the couch or recliners?

First Airstream

Gosh, I saw the photo and it looks identical to mine....LOL.

I agree with the comments, especially the two A/C as in past years with my 2009 Int 27FB one would not do it in the several trips to visit friends in San Antonio.

Re: closet storage... Great idea with the slide out storage shelves. Another item I may install is a door activated light switch so the lights come on automatically. And some LED strip lighting in the top compartment. Once this is completed on mine, I will post a new thread with the mods.

Good luck and safe travels...

Wow, great closet storage idea, as I'm figuring out what needs to go with me I'm considering all of these great ideas, so thank you a thousand times I can see the container store will be winding up with more of my salary than I'd like! I called about the steps today and they said three weeks for parts, oh dear! I'm trying to get ready for my going away party so that totally put a kink in my plans...guess I may just remove them and use a step stool for the party as classy as that is!
I went shopping for a living room table today and found some neat tables at tjmaxx and...they fit! I'm waiting until she is all decorated to take interior pics and to share her name I also found this hilarious metal flamingo, but I haven't had a recent tetanus shot so I passed on him

Found out from the dealer I was hitched 2.5 inches too low so it wasn't my fault! They are working on fixing it I went with the lounge and after my party I'm off to San Antonio!

It's hard to believe how the dealer's shop guys could look at that after set up and not know it was all wrong. With luck you can stay away from dealers and their maintenance. My only dents came while the trailer was at the dealer for repairs. When you need service here in San Antonio, PM me, I'll give you my take on where I would take it. No Airstream dealer here anymore, but mechanics still certified for warranty. We are having a cold wave. Didn't get to 100 today.

Looking at the pic of your stairs, were they completely stored up in the travel position, or down like shown in the pic? They should tuck up under the belly a bit more I believe....
