Honda EU2000i

My new Honda EU2000i just came this week! It runs everything, including the AC on low. (But nothing else at the same time). I put a clamp on ammeter, and it reads 13 amps (1550 watts)with the AC on low. I did not push it by going to Hi on the fan. With the fridge and the converter running with a few lights and the tv on, we were running well under 10 amps. I think this will be fine for us. We survived this hot summer boondocking a few times without AC, but it would have been nice to "take the edge off" those times with air. BTW, I ordered mine from Mayberry's, got it about $175 less than the local dealer wanted.

Cheryl, (or anyone else for that matter)if you are passing through on I90, East of Cleveland, you are welcome to stay for a few days, or overnight, we are just 2 miles south at the RT44 interchange. We have a farm market across the road from our house, you can park there. It even has a 30 amp RV outlet.

Cheryl,
Vern is correct, they are on airstreamdotcom2 but they are also at the yahoo groups airstream2 section. How is this possible?

Vern,
I took outside and inside pictures of my bathroom fan we were talking about a few months back. I can't remember if I ever sent the pictures to you or not.

One last tip... on the cat... as flexible as they are, they can get out of any harness if they really want to. I talked to one full-timer who's seen campers staying over a week or more longer than planned, hoping that "Fluffy" would come back.

There's also a pretty good potential that a vet trip may be necessary... and I don't EVEN wanna try to hold a cat in a room fulla dogs.

We plan to take a carrier large enough for both cats in the truck bed. It can be disassembled and the bottom nested in the top (a small generator would sit in it nicely <G>, or we could just stow stuff in it assembled. And it may even be good to put in the trailer for them to get into underway.

Just a thought...

Gosh, I loved this thread. Has anyone heard from Cheryl? Because I'll be taking off from the NW to full-time, maybe with a cat and a scooter, I was especially interested in her saga. Her posts were great and really funny. I hope she wrote a book!
