2 Years Of It

My wife and I spent about 2 years full timing it from August of 95 to July of 97. We left the trailer and flew home from Thanksgiving to New Years. More than 85% of our camping was street camping with perhaps 5% in free campgrounds in the woods and 10% paid campgrounds of the KOA type, probably less. We used a 35' Airstream 5th wheel which is now for sale. (See the ads). Yes, that was a unashamed plug.

We agree it probably was the highlight of our life. I wish it was just starting.

We did not make the mistake (in my opinion) of selling the house to finance the trip. I met a couple who did, sick, no home, and not sure what to do. Ended up with the kids I guess.

We followed no particular route and kept no schedule. Our objective in moving was to stay not too cold nor too warm. We followed the seasons that is to say.

If there is any interest let me know and I'll add any more information you'd be interested in. I'll have to find the newsletters I sent to family to see where we went and a closer estimate of the time. It all blurs together.

I'm sorry its over.

Welcome to the Forums. I looked at your ad; that is indeed a rare bird. Did ya'll quit camping entirely in '97?
