I am doing some remodeling and need to match the wood in my 2005 396 XL. It light colored but not pine or oak. I have been told it might be Ash. Here is a picture of the kitchen cabinets.
I think everyone is right, hickory. Now I need to find a source to buy some 1"x4' boards and a peice of hickory veneer 1/4" plywood. There are a few stores here in Houston that carry hardwoods so I will start there first.
Looks just like the Hickory in our '10 Classic, and it has a lacquer type finish, not oil base varnish.
I found my Hickory and I am about ready to put the finish on. I am wondering if something like this Minwax clear brushing lacquer would be what I I need. This is a gloss but I assume a semi gloss or satin would also be available. I would like to stay with the same type of finish as the ithe other wood. Thanks for an y input.
You might call the factory ((937) 596-6111) and ask what finish they used on the 1976 Hickory interiors so the end results match the rest of the trailer.
