Your unit is newer than mine so you will have to check out how your own systems are set up.
In 96, the motor homes were set up -----
chassis engine/alternator charged the chassis and the house batteries through an ISOLATOR.
When the aux. generator runs on my CLIPPER (equipped with the PTS7000) it was originally set up to charge the chassis battery direct from the genset and the chassis batteries from the SMART inverter/charger.

"Sure Power Battery Isolator
Eliminates multi-battery drain when two or more battery banks are in a charging system, performs as well or better than existing factory installed components, designed to exceed OEM specifications"
Later production, I believe, eventually updated to electronic control but I am not sure in what year of production that was.
On my CLIPPER, I have updated my 3 BATTERY BANK systems to SEPARATORS and did away with the ISOLATOR.
"Sure Power Battery Separator
1314-200, 1315-200 and the 100 amp version 1314 & 1315 is designed for use in
multi-battery applications as a solenoid priority system to protect the chassis charging system from excessive loading while allowing auxiliary batteries to be charged."
