me too, 1996 Cutter on chevy chassis 454, bought in May 2016

I sold my Classic excella 28 ft motor home on P30 chassis 8 years ago. Here I go again with another. Got a deal on a 1996 cutter on P32 chassis. Had to replace fuel pump, water pump, and some small stuff to be useful other than a driveway ornament. The cutter is so much heavier. The old excella barely weight in at 9000 lbs loaded. Cutter also so much more comfortable.

1997 34' Cutter Chevy 454. We have owned ours for a year. It sat for 18 years in northern Arizona outdoors. We paid $15k for it. Drive it 3000 miles and transmission went out. Had it rebuilt in SC. . Got it back to az and found an RV place. Had roof re-sealed. Generator over hauled. Dash air repaired. Now $3500 in suspension work : to replace front air Springs with coil. Suspension, etc then front roof AC. WE will then have about $25 in this rv. We plan another criss country trip next month. Fingers crossed that the big ticket items are done for a couple years. How is everyone else's "New Cutter" working for them. We now have 12,000 original miles. Sitting was the enemy.

I have a ‘99 Cutter, and have done more than a few ‘fixes’ to get it up to speed, but I have been having a difficult time find the rub rail vinyl insert. Any suggestions?

We have a 1995 Cutter. Been traveling full time for 10 years with it. Love it. Some updates but nothing big. Love it!

I found a biz which makes a variety of rub rail inserts:
BrandSport Auto Accessories
541-341-6555
They are in Prineville, OR and seem to have connectivity issues, but keep trying. They were a big help to me.

We just bought a 98 Cutter diesel pusher with slide out in Albuquerque area. Our last Airstream was a 62 Safari. It is good to be back in this forum.

Hi Jim,
I'm looking at a 1999 Airstream CUTTER 35 Diesel, but I am new to diesels. I currently have a 1995 class A P32 gasser but it has no slides and is very noisy. I'm trying to find information relevant to the reliability of the cutter diesel, but not sure where to look. This rig only has 33K miles on it, but the seller wants $42K, which seems pretty high??? Any input would be greatly apreciated.

New to me 96 35

Just got a 96 Cutter, 35 feet, gas, with 55K. Posting to this thread to get information

The exterior sides look like they are "chalking". In particular there is a white film over the decals. Cleaning/ waxing suggestions anyone?
