Land Yacht vs Cutter

What are the differences between a 35 ft. Cutter and Land Yacht. Is the Land Yacht the higher end model? I am asking regarding the 1997 to 2000 year models. I am interested in quality and feature differences.

The reason I am asking is there a couple for sale and I am trying to gather as much information I can before I look at them. So those with Cutters or Land Yachts can provide me with their positive features I would appreciate it. I believe they are on a P30 Chassis but with the flat surfaces does the wind affect it more also I wonder about roof leaks and delamination of the fiberglass. Trying to make a decision to stay with my Classic or purchase a new motorhome.

On LY the roof and walls above floor are fg too. Aluminum is just the outside storage area lockers. I don't have experience with Cutter but the ly doesn't seem to be bothered by wind of trucks but when you get a cross wind coming out of an underpass there is a little. 2000 Land Yacht 30 is actually 31 ft. so the LY 33 would be closer to your 34.5 for length. The Cutter's I saw were flat front while the LY is close to the 345 front window slope.

I believe all Cutters are Land Yachts but not all Land yachts are Cutters. We have the 96 Land Yacht Clipper and I got this info from another Clipper owner.

The CLIPPER was designed and engineered to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Airstream Company in 1996 and ramp up and construction began in 1995 model year and production closed in the latter part of 1996. A total of 25 units of the CLIPPER were produced, and the model was downgraded and downsized to be retagged as the CUTTER. Your limited run Land Yacht CLIPPER was the ultimate in cruising luxury and convenience available at this point of the RV industry cycle.
