Dock Light Replacement

Has anyone a source for the exterior dock lights? Looked around the forums but couldn't find anything. I attached a pic of what I have (at 4am today!).

The back of the sealed light has some odd straight wire pins.

I don't have the number in memory, but these lamps are stocked at any auto parts store. IIRC the part number is on the back of the lamp.

Here is the info. The lamp number is H94060

Airstream Dock Lamps

The number above is a Freightliner number.

Standard Grote number is without the last digit.

Cheaper at NAPA but that is just for the replacement "bulb", not including bezel.

I just found the packing list: I bought two H9406 bulbs on the web 4 years ago: H9406 were 16.39, now the same vendor wants 24.95. A local rv place that repaired the right front corner after an encounter with a Mustang (a different long story) charged me $40 for the bulb! I wonder why they have not seen me since then? Maybe excessive markup? My local auto parts store shows about $22 today.

Pretty sure these are simply automotive sealed beam lamps.

The dock lamps used on the Airstream Motorhomes are the 9400 series.

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f313...ml#post1300531

The similar style lamps used as auto headlamps are 4700 series (H4703 etc) and, although similar, will not fit the bezel of the Airstream Dock Lamps.

The bezel can be trimmed if the proper lamp is not available. You would have to trim about 1/4" off each side of bezel for the lamp to fit, and it would still look wrong as it would not fit in the corners properly.

If you have another part number, that you are thinking of that works, let us know.
