Got this project finished in time for coffee this afternoon.
I was able, with the use of a couple jacks, to maneuver the unit back in by myself.
Biggest problem other than the weight was the power plug for the microwave is buried on the back wall of the corner cabinet. That makes for a long reach with one arm while holding 74 lbs with the other.
Now that the coffee maker is located off the counter, maybe I can talk the GW into taking her bread maker on those longer trips. (
Give her something to do. )
Just a note on the B&D Coffee Maker. This is an older unit that was in good shape, and has not been used for years. I had all the mount fittings stored with it and am happy to be able to put it back into use rather than discard it. It fits the space perfectly, so I anticipate many good cups of coffee going forward. If it fails, I can modify the mount for a new model without removing the microwave next time.
I see these same coffee makers on eBay, but they are without the mounting pieces. I would not recommend anyone purchase one without all the pieces, as the unit itself is designed to be removed from the mounting brackets.
