Broken Door Latch on AS LY 360 XC
I promise you I am not the incredible Bulk, but I just broke the inside handle on the door. I unlocked the door and went to open the door and it seemed stuck. I had a + screwdriver and removed the remote door lock but it didn't seem what was keeping the door shut. I then just pulled (too) hard on the door latch and it broke in my hand! Luckily I called my wife on the cell and she came out and just pulled real hard on the outside door and got me out.
Probably the easiest thing is to first call AIRSTREAM. That door latch is probably still being used????
Wrecking yards with AIRSTREAM stock are few and far between.

We had to replace the ouside part of the same door latch.
We finally found the part made by TRIMARK and ordered it from The RV Shop www.rvshop.com. The guy there, Bob McFarland, is great to work with and can find just about anything.
If you get stuck, maybe I could be of help, having done this project already.

Hey BarnacleBill. Can't get to the website for some reason. But thanks for the info. Is there some basic maintenance you performed to keep this latch from locking up? I tried the door latch about a million times last night and it shut when it was supposed to and opened up easily when I pulled on the outside - like nothing was ever wrong!
When you open it up you will probably find some worn parts that can get out of alignment. I guess you could use some silicon lube in there. The manual says to lube the striker pocket with paraffin. The Welcome to RV Shop - America's Premier RV Website worked for me...
Maybe try typing it in rather than using the link...
