Axle Cap

I was noticing that all the RVs that get their pics on this site seem to have a cap to cover the axel on the front tires, yet my front tires look like this:

Anyone know what that part is called or where I might obtain them?

Yes, I have some paint damage, but the paint was protected from the sun for the last decade by the same bus wrap, so I only need to paint the silver and I have really nice full body paint.

You have a oil bath hub on that axle that should be visually checked on your pre-trip, each day. Do you really want that covered?
The covers are available at any truck dealer or truckstop.

Since my RV did not come with a chassis manual, I actually don't know this. If there is a pretrip inspection that needs to be completed why does every other Airstream I have seen have it capped off?

I did see a selection of these items at the truck stop where I caught the bus home, I didn't realize they were generic, thanks!

Mine has it also covered and I just lost the rear cover. You can get it at the Freightliner Dealer/Service. I got the same problem with the manuals and need to figure out a maintenance procedure. I hope I can get one from Freightliner also.
