I was actually only at the dealer for the day. Met a lot of nice Freightliner drivers who were in similar boats (well, trucks). I blew the Air Cooler hose, it takes (I am told) the compressed and thus HOT air coming off the turbo and runs it in front of the radiator before into the engine. Cooler air gives more power.
I woke at 7 am and still managed to be their first customer. I was also their last, but most of the others had retired to the local Super8. So out in one is a good thing. I was too tired to drive, so the following AM I headed for home.
Drove like a champ. They had not only replaced all the hoses that came loose they went thru and replaced all my rusted brackets, including the exhaust, it is SO much quieter now. Only a day and a half delay and ~$500. Still had left overs in the fridge, so I packed well.
