Air Compressor & Tire Gauge

Hey folks. Somewhere, maybe in the manual, I thought there was access to the MH air compressor that would allow me to among other things, put pressure into the tires. Is my memory failing me?

Also, I suspect I'd want a good quality tire gauge for these mammoth tires, any recommendations?

Finally, I think in another thread, I read that the tires need to be replaced every 5 years. These Mich look new but is there a way to tell when they were made (not installed, obviously). What's the general feeling on this please?

I can't answer about the air compressor, as I have a trailer, but-
A DOT man recommended to me the little digital tire gauge form Walmart. He said that's what was recommended to him by the DOT officers that trained him.
It is a Slime model #20017- $9 on Amazon- don't remember how much I paid at Walmart, and their website will tell you everything about it but the price-
They use them to check the pressure in 18 wheeler tires.

Air nipple should be located on the front bulkhead where there is a manifold for air lines. This is the only approved location to tap into the air system. Yours may be in the front compartment located below the driver, forward of the wheelwell.

On the CLIPPERS, it is located on the drivers side front bulkhead accessed via the front hood/door. Upper drivers side on this unit behind the front access door.


If you also have a front access door and not a genset up front, yours should be in the front also.
