2001 XC360 Questions
Although I've had no problems with my slideout, the question is if it is stuck out how do you retract it. I knew how on my Airstream trailer with slide, but can find nothing on the motorhome.
Does anyone know where to get replacement headlights, they are not duals nor or are they a true rectangle
Thanks

Are these the lamps?
If you look close, there should be a brand or number on the lens or housing. This style was used on other motorhomes, so they should be available.
Start here if they are HELLA.
Quick Table Guide RV Sealed Beam Conversion
NOTE:
For reference we are using the part numbers from Hella. These are common P/N, mostly found on the RV headlights(usually on the back side of the old sealed beam). If the Hella version is not available we will use the VISION X version. These are top quality lenses with glass. They are also DOT approved like the Hella Version.
1993 Prevost looks the same.

I am not 100% sure they are the same lamps but they look the same as the 87-91 Ford Bronco lamps.

Thank you, yes I at last was able to cross reference them. You hope you do notneed to replace them often, well over $100.00 each

About the slide out -- under the slide out there should be a compartment where the pump is located. There you should see a switch for moving in or out from outside the coach. You should also see a lever for manually moving the slide out.

2001 Class A Headlight
This appears to be the same headlamp for those looking at replacement headlights on this 2000-1 Class A.

Reading the OWNERS MANUAL somtimes helps!
"
NOTE: Before a slide-out room can be deployed the ignition switch must be off.
We also recommend leveling the coach prior to deploying the slide-out.
Instructions for manual retraction and extension of the room during a power failure are
in the Power Gear owner’s manual.
The motor for the slide out mechanism has an emergency retraction/expansion feature.
The motors are located as follows:
Bed Slide out: Under the bed bolted to the floor. It is accessible by removing the mattress
and opening the bed top access door.
Galley Slide out: It is accessible by opening the third lower compartment door from the
front on the driver’s side. It is bolted to the floor.
Wardrobe Slide out: It is accessible by removing the center panel under the wardrobe.
The end of each motor has a nut that can be turned with a wrench, or a socket and
ratchet. The slide out mechanism manufacturer also provides a flexible socket extension
that can be mounted to an electric drill chuck for easier operation of this emergency
procedure. Turn the nut until the room is returned to its storage position.
WARNING PLEASE READ
:
LEVEL AND STABILIZE UNIT PRIOR TO OPERATING SLIDE OUT ROOMS. FAILURE
TO LEVEL MOTORHOME MAY CAUSE THE ROOM TO OPERATE IMPROPERLY
OR CAUSE DAMAGE.
MAKE SURE THERE IS ADEQUATE CLEARANCE TO OUTSIDE OBJECTS BEFORE
SLIDE OUT ROOM IS EXTENDED.
TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL INJURY, STAND CLEAR OF SLIDE OUT ROOM WHILE
ROOM IS IN MOTION.
REMOVE TRAVEL LOCKS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN SLIDE OUT ROOM.
NEVER ATTEMPT TO MOVE MOTORHOME WITH A ROOM EXTENDED.
INSTALL TRAVEL LOCKS PRIOR TO TRAVEL.
TRAVEL LOCKS ARE TO BE POSITIONED & ADJUSTED PROPERLY TO HOLD ROOM FIRMLY IN POSITION FOR TRAVEL."
Have fun with those slides.

If only the bulb needs replacing, it has a twist lock on it and easy to access from under the front of your Motor Home. I have one just like this and have replaced the bulbs.
