Best of luck on your MH.
I know your unit is a bit heavier than our Clipper, but we get consistently over 11 MPG and on the last 22000 miles averaged 11.38 MPG with all gallons converted to Canadian. If you use the 20% conversion, that still gives over 9MPG US gallons. I still believe we got better milage with less of these expensive attachments to "improve milage" on the newer units. I drove a new 2009 IH for the last few months before I retired, and it sucked up more fuel, on the same run, than the 2000 model I had before.
I agree with the preventive maintenace program, and do everything you can yourself. That way you get to know your unit, and minor breakdowns will be easier to handle ----- unless your better half blames you for everthing??

Good Luck

Hello Everyone,

I currently have a 1999 Land Yacht 31 Footer (Gas) and have had her 3 plus years and 10,000 miles of almost carefree adventures. I have finally convinced the boss (Wife) that we could start looking for a diesel version. I just came across a 2000 Land yacht 390 Diesel with the Cat 330 HP motor and I believe a Allison 6 speed transmission. it has 75,939 miles on it with 1350 hours on the gen. They are asking 38900.00 for it.. Since this is a diesel which is totally out of my realm and also 9 feet longer I am asking you all fellow Airstreamers if this is a good coach, what should I look for when I go take a look, and does that price seem good or high or fair?
any and all help is deeply appreciated..
Thanks and have a great day/evening
