Welcome to the AirForums JOHNEF805.

Have you just purchased a unit?

If you can post those pictures for the benefit of others, that would be good.

Hmmm OK, so being from out of town, and since I guess my 99 Cutter fits the bill, what is the procedure.

Is there a link to the official document. Recall, advisory, DIY fix at owners expense?

The procedure

Contact Airstream. Ask Airstream if they still have the brackets if not you could probably make them, I have been trying to post some pictures of where they go but for some reason they will not post If you open up the door leading into the propane tank and you look over the top and look down to the other side you will see this too flimsy brackets there those are the bad ones I hope that helps
Thanks John

The brackets

This is a fix the owner has to do on his own expense

No pictures and no reply from Airstream so I guess the third avenue will have to do. Get under and have a look and if they are still in one piece despite the terrible places I have taken the Cutter over the last several years, figure they will be OK for a few more years yet.

OK thanks. When I go back, I'll have a look at that area and check if there are any obvious mods.
Given this recall was only a couple of years after manufacture, I'd hope that the mod was carried out by the first owner 13 years ago. Same with the fresh water tank mods.
Previous owner told me the fridge mod had been done, but guess I'll check that as well
