What are you doing for the Memorial Day Weekend

I'll be home for the weekend but plan on doing a few things to the ole LY. On the plan for this weekend is:
  • Replace front brakes pads (Wagner Thermoquiets)
  • Replace all plugs (Autolite Plantinum)
  • Replace fuel filter (Purolator)
  • Replace air filter (Fram 2X)
  • Repair HWH auto leveling jack (Damaged front curb side jack harness connector that HWH sent me a replacement for free)
  • Reseal curb side bedroom window
  • Test new Dish Network Tailgator Auto-SAT antenna
I know it doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun, but I love working on the ole girl. Every day I work on her it looks and runs more like a treasure then the $2000 "dear hunter special" I bought it as.

Next phase will be the replacement of the rear brake pads, test tag axle brakes and then road test her.

Can't wait till I can give her a true shake down run. Plan on a local trip first and then... You name it!!!

Taking of the belly pan, and the inside panels so I can take the shell off the old girl.

I mowed lawn today, rehung a bird house for my wife. Tomorrow I'll polish on trailer if it doesn't rain. Monday my wife, my oldest son, and I, will make a road trip out of visiting graves of dead relatives.

Hi, we just got home from our first cruise ship cruise; About two weeks long. Today I watched Nascar, and tomorrow I watching the Indy 500. So, basically nothing!

Tearing the rear end out of my long term project Airstream...the 1975, it is about half way through it's 120 step rehab.

The interior has been out for a while, but I finally got down to the nitty gritty today it ain't purdy.

De-winterized and washed our airstream in prep for an upcoming 10 day trip in June. She looks beautiful now so I am excited to hit the road.

Also fixed a faucet in the house and ate some great Mexican food and had Margs for dinner. It's shaping up to be a great Memorial day so far!

We are headed out next weekend so we took the time to clean our AS this weekend for the first time.

Wash
Clay-Bar
1 Coat of Zaino Z-2
Topped off with Zaino CS

All in all it took the four of us 6 hours to do all of the above and I am pretty happy with the results. I've used the Zaino products for years but never their Z-CS(Clear Seal) product. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up.

We will be up early watching the boy scouts put out all the flags on the grave sites... then a nice memorial service with the presentation of the wreaths.

We bring out all our jeeps, half tracks and command cars to pay our respects.

Never forget our fallen soldiers..

Ah, I'm doing a lot of bathhouse cleaning. (We get quite a few mountainbikers in very small RVs or tents nowadays.)

adding to our family

We are picking up our new puppy tomorrow. She is a Havamalt, very small. her name is Sadie and we look forward to taking her camping next Wed to the Owyhee River. So for Memorial Day weekend we will be home and finishing up packing last minute things for our first trip of the year. Can't wait.
Also sending all our love and best wishes to all our service personnel, and especially our Grandson now serving in Afganinstan.

Today was work and stick-house chores.
Sunday will start with setting some new rivets in the belly pan... I found some places the belly skin pull off the rivets on the street side while installing the BAL stabilizers last weekend. I'm also measuring to order new axles *gulp*

If I have enough time and give-a-damn left when the rivets are all done, I have a new converter and a couple of strings of 12V LEDs to install.

Tomorrow evening Mom, stepdad and a big truck full of crap will arrive at their new place in Lewisville, so that'll burn Sunday night and Monday. One more weekend to get ready for a trip to Arkansas on 7 June!

Good thread!

Putting my derusted, remodeled battery tray back in the Classic...

From this rusty mess with just a pair of Group 27's and the chassis battery....

To this....
Tool box and divider removed. Back wall pushed back 1", and floor dropped 2 1/2". 500lb slides, and polished face.
Space for up to 8 x 6V Golf Cart Batteries now if I want in the future.
