Striping color

Our 1997 LandYacht 30 needs some of the decals replaced.

Is there any reason why the colour has to stay the same?

I'm thinking of changing the burgundy stripe to something different, not sure what yet (silver? aqua? ) but wanted to make sure that didn't violate some kind of protocol. If the burgundy is symbolic somehow of Airstream, we'll leave it.

Thanks.

Your Airstream, your color choice. Go for it. The old classic Airstream trailers always looked good with blue trim, in my opinion, but Airstreams have come dressed in many colors from the factory. The burgundy was just what was new in the 90's.

Wasn't the burgandy on the Limited models?

Personally I like the Excella blue and the "fancy stripe" zip Dee awnings.
It would be a cool combo in green and green striped awnings.

Well we made our decision on colour of striping. Our coach had the burgundy with what I call Airstream blue - loved the blue but not the burgundy. Replaced the burgundy with silver (so far only the back as that was the worst) and we're liking how it looks.
The silver was chosen because Airstreams in most peoples minds are aluminum. But hubby Mike says that the graphic to him is water (the blue), highway (because it is a land yacht) and what was originally pink and now is a gold was mountains in a distance. Our very patient graphics guy chose the gold.
We've spent enough time compounding, polishing, waxing, flooring, removing TV's etc. that now it is time to finish up the polishing and hit the road, so the balance of the striping will likely have to wait until Spring.

Oops, didn't finish this properly.
To answer your question, yes.
But on the back we removed the burgundy replaced with silver.
Sort of hard to see everything at once anyway.
Choice was to do all the striping and stay home (after paying $1800 for tires) or do this much and travel. And since the back looks so good it will be easier to fork out the $$ to do the rest
I tried to post a picture but couldn't get it to go - will read the instructions again and will post.
