Storage doors - male side of hold open clips.

In February while getting off our mountain, our coach slid off the road into a barb wire fence. Only damage was that the barbed wire took off two of my
storage door stainless steel clasps and fired them in to the pasture never to be found.
I'm looking for a source for two new ones. These are these the male ends
that lock into the female ones above the Land Yacht storage doors.
Any advice?

Maybe this??? I think the proper name of this is a "toggle latch" or "draw latch".

A photo of what you are talking about or a better description would be helpful.

Storage door clasps

I've taken a picture but I can's show it here without a http:// URL.
Photobucket is no longer free and I don't know how to get a URL address to post my picture. Suggestions?

I switched to Imgur. Very similar to Photobucket without the aggravation. Not perfect.
However, I've tried another idea with great success.
After typing your text, look at the icons above the text box.
You may have to "Go advanced" to see all. See the paperclip? It's attachments. Mine opens my downloads folder, I can select an image on the computer (without an URL) upload it, and voila' Image attached!

Hey Paul,

Check Ace Hardware. Best to remove the clip or take a photo with you so they can try to match it. While your looking around, I need another plastic slide clip for the side entry door. Been using a bungie cord for awhile but would be nice to find replacement.

Hope your summer plans are coming together. Are you going to any Rallys or the Intl in Oregon this summer?

Mike

P. S. It show ed it was attached, but disappeared again.
(I tried the suggested "Advanced" way to attach.)

When you are looking at this message (while logged in to the Airforum at your computer on which your photo is stored) click on either the "Reply" or the "Quote" button to open a new message window. Write your message. Then:
Look at the top of the message window and click on the "paper clip icon".
When the "Manage Attachments" window opens click on "Browse", then find where your photo is stored on your computer. Click on the photo file name and wait until the file/photo appears beside the Browse button. This may take a few moments, depending on the speed of your computer's processor. Wait until the process is complete. Then click on the "upload" button. This may take a few moments, depending our your internet connection speed. Wait until the upload is complete.

You have to wait until the processes are completed, before closing a window or proceeding to the next step, or the photo is not attached.

Doing these steps in this specific order should attach your photo to your message.

Paul, if you check on the Airstream web site under parts, find the part number and call an Airstream dealer with the number. I had to replace the plastic part of the door latch, and the local Airstream dealer (Great Outdoor Mart, Greensboro NC) matched the part, and for a couple bucks I was back in business.

Cargo door clips

If you zoom into this photo you can see the male and female clips in position on the cargo doors and body above the belt line.

Mike1997,
Those are the ones, like mine! I have a closeup photo but since Photobucket went pricey I can't re-size it to post.
