Question Slide out window awning

Does anyone know if a window awning can be installed on the slide out of an 2005 AS 30' LY mh ? All of the windows have A&E awnings except the slide out. Is there enough room for installation beneth the slide out awning.

Hi Harold,

It depends on the 'freeboard' or distance between the top of the window and the top of the slide. I've installed awnings in a lot of strange places (I won't list any details ) but it should not be a problem.

If you have an trouble locating a matching awning, let me know as I am a dealer/installer for all of the major awning companies, including A & E.

I dont know if this is a good idea or not. We will be in Phoenix Az. for at least 2 months this summer. [ I know, bad timing ] And thought it would be good to shade that window also.

Harold,

Many larger MoHos use the type of arrangement that you are talking about ifthe don't already have an 'Omega II' slide topper from Carefree of Coloado. This awning not only covers the slide, but gan be manually extended to cover the window as well.

I've seen many that use a separte window awning in tandem with the slide cover.

Harold,
Can't imagine this would be a problem. Our 2004 30' Classic came from the factory with a zip dee awning that covers the slide and can be further extended to shade the window.

It looks like I'll have to go with the zip dee, not enough room for mounting under the slide cover. Found a local dealer that has been very helpfull. Thanks for the help.
