Seam leak? near door
I have a 30-ft Land Yacht with a leak just to the left of the entrance door. I sealed the seam where the roof meets the side panel. However, some water is still getting in and running down, soaking the bottom of the padded kickwall of the dinette. (Inside the kickwall is lots of wiring.) I also took off and caulked inside the Airstream handle in case that was where the water was getting in. But it was not. In searching further, I looked up under the awning. The metal bracket that holds the roof panel to the wall has a seam. Apparently, the metal did not come in long enough lengths to run the entire length of the rig. Anyway, the two pieces of the bracket are abutted right above where the leak is occurring, so I'm thinking that is where the water is getting in. If anyone has had an issue like this, can you give any advice on sealing it - short of taking the RV to a dealer and having them remove the awning? Thanks. George
