Repairing interior wallpaper in Landyacht 26

We've got our MH in tip top shape EXCEPT the previous owner must have left it in the heat and one area of the living room near the TV has cracks in the vinyl wallpaper. This style is everywhere in the MH so I'm dreading removing it all. Any ideas on how we can repair this so I'm not staring at the cracks all summer?.

Wallpaper and Key question

We painted all the wall paper in ours. May be able to smooth out just that one wall and paint a solid color that matches the rest of the motorhome.

I was wondering if you unit has the keyless entry system? or the keyfob to open the doors, mine does not but I do have the control module and would like to add it. Any info appreciated.

Wall paper ripple

I have a 2004 30SO with a ripple in the paper in several locations. I spoke to an independent RV tech and he told me that is common for paper to ripple. I have teh ripples on the wall in the area next to the refrigerator, behind the sliding door to the bedroom and at stress points around a couple of windows. I stripped the paper from the wall (a pain) in the family room and behind the door in the bedroom, sanded it down and used a walnut stain on it. There hasn't been any negative effects, but these are two areas that are pretty protected from scrapes and bumps.
With that said I have been thinking about putting new wall paper or possibly paneling redo portions of the interior. When I decide to take the leap I will post the effort and results.

Painted Wall Paper

We have painted 2 rigs on the interior. Probably not supposed to but we have not had any issues.

Thanks for sharing! Really modernizes the interior. My wife is really fond of those tiles in the kitchen also.

What kind of paint did you use?

It was

1 Coat of Primer on walls then 2 coats of latex egg shell paint

On cabinets it was 2 coats of primer and and 3 coats of latex and a sealer

Grabbed the tiles at lowes for a dollar a sheet, that is why they are everywhere they were so cheap they had some clearance going on so we bough all of them. Used the double sided "mussel bound" in the tile section to install.

Wow wish we had the electric awning feature, are your drip gutters still in place? Mine are gone and I am having trouble deciding how to add some.

Wow...not sure if I would have the courage to paint the oak wood cabinets. Do wish it had a more modern look. I like the tile used for backspash, have been looking at the brushed fake aluminum square panels sold at Lowes and Home Depot for awhile, considering using them in the bathroom area. New Airstreams all have aluminum walls and ceiling in that space.

I have the remote door and cargo locks. Got two remotes and need batteries for both.

Yes, they're still in place. Just need a little paint touch up.

OK. We're moving ahead with putting 'Smart Tiles' from Home Depot on the walls and backsplash. My wife wants to remove the trim boards on top and side of main wall where TV is mounted. Does anyone know if these are cosmetic are actually helping support the wall?

We ended up just painting the wall but the smart tiles made a nice backsplash above the sink.
