Rear Aircon only works on Genset?

Hello All,
Our 1997 LY30 has two ACs but the rear works on genset only and not shore power. The front works on both. A clue: When I start the genset with both ACs on, The real turns on as soon as the genset does. The front turns on after 30 sec. or so after starting. Any Ideas? Thanks

I think I got my answer, 30A shore power can only power 1 ac at a time. I need to get a switch between the two.

The time delay is most likely designed in so the starting current of the 2 units does not happen at the same time.

Each AC should have a time delay built in to allow equalization of pressures within the unit to accrue if there is a power interruption. Commonly 2 or 3 minutes. Without that time delay you can slug the compressor and that is not good.

You have a switch. Its in the cabinet above the stove.

You should never start or stop the generator with a load hard on the generator and the transfer switch.

Confirmed that our 96 LY30 switch is above the stove as well. Looks like a light switch in the cupboard.

On my unit there is a switch over the cooker/extractor fan that switches the front from AC off and engages the rear AC in the bedroom

I found it! Thank you!
Next question: Is there a switch between Shore cable and ant? TV did not see the cable channels after doing cable search.

Shore power has no influence on the TV input other than lighting it up.

There are a couple of things that may be effecting your reception of cable.
Some systems have a Selector Box, a separate control that governs which signal if feed to the TV.

Newer smart TV have several inputs options on the back of the TV. If that is the case you have to select the input via the TV control before scanning.

Look for a VERY small push button on the plate where the television coax connects. Red light on is TV. Red light off is cable/satellite.
