Power Gear Levellers

I have purchased a 99 Landyacht 33 ft. It is eguiped with the power gear levelling system. When I used the unit in warm weather everything seemed fine. but now that temps are down to freezing I noticed the jacks down light comes on during hard acceleration and goes out again at normaloperation while driving. My question is should I top off the fluid while it remains this cold or should it be left for warmer temps as the fluid wil expand when it is warmer? Hate to fill it for cold and have it overfull when warmer. Thanks for any help.

I would go ahead and fill it. Don't think there would be enough expansion to worry about.

Check the pads and see if you can determine which one is leaking, mine was from the rear drivers side, fixed by adding transmission seal, when leak stopped changed oil, resevoir held about a gallon.

Thanks for the posts. I will top it up and keep an eye on it to see if I can find a leak.

Karen,

POWERGEAR no longer will no longer talk to individual RV owners only dealers. So, would you mind calling them for that information and getting it to me via email or phone.

Thanks

Question: Power Jacks by "POWER GEAR"
Invoice states "208 W.B."
I have one that is LEAKING at the jack and leaving puddle. Is there a KIT to fix that or am I faced with replacing the entire Jack (I hope not). There must be a seal kit of some kind.
I hope you can give me some helpful advice.
Thanks

Question Power Gear Levellers Float Switch

Has anyone attempted to replace the float switch used in the Power Gear Leveller system?

I have a year 2000 Land Yacht equipped with the Power Gear Leveller System.

Is it possibile that the switch might be rotated out of position?

I've checked the oil level and it is where it should be.

At present I have the float switch disconnected so that the sona-alarm does not sound. (I do physically check that all four levellers are fully retracted.)

I'd appreciate your feedback.

You may wany to check the switch on the jack that activates the light. If the jack is up, and the light comes on, the switch may need adjustment.

I found the Web site for Power Gear US, http://www.powergearus.com/technicaldocuments
and there is a wealth of information for folks like me. In regards to my previous Post, I have reason to believe that my float switch is out of alignment, so I will have to check that out. (There is a great illustration of the proper alignment of the float switch.)
