Paint code

My 2000 LY 30 has scratches that I would rather touchup than repaint the coach. "Ruby Pearl" is burgundy (?) and off-white (?). I tried to find the code at drcolorchip.com unsuccessfully. Does anyone know where the code is located?

These are supplied by Airstream and are the original production colour codes.

Look in your main wardrobe closet door. There should be a label there. I found very little info on the 2000 coach as the transition year to WH was late 1999 and Chev continued to build the P32 for "some" time for WH.

On my closet door the paint code is RM 271, dark red metallic (maroon, my words) and Sherwin Williams 7000 base and clear coat.

In the lists above this corresponds to a 2001 LY 30 & 33 U7-RM-271 (custom color) Dark Red Met.

If you find a source, let us know. I think we have the same colour.

I had some difficulty this morning trying to figure out what WH might have to do with paint! but I get your point now.

Thanks Dave and Steve, I am guessing I am looking for U7- RM - 271. I will see if I can get the DRCOLORCHIP.COM to take that number. Stay tuned.

OK I have ordered a kit from DRCOLORCHIP.COM. The site accepted U7 - RM - 271 with vehicle description: 2000 Airstream Land Yacht 30. I will let you know how it works out when I get the paint and try it.

Jay:

Did this kit come with a clear coat? My 2009 towed uses a water based paint and needs the clear coat to protect it.

Steve this kit is for paint chip touch up and hopefully in my application scratch touch up. The items in the kit does not include clear coat. The kit did not include paint surface prep either but it was offered on the website as one of those suggestions that if you bought the kit you may also want this. I ordered it. I had to email photos of my MH to drcolorchip.com today and I asked them about clear coat. I'll let you know when they respond.

Paint Code

Jay, here is the label that I mentioned previously. The only reason I asked about the clear coat is on the label.

Thanks for the photo Steve. For some reason the label is not in my closet maybe the PO removed it. I haven't heard back from drcolorchip with the answer to my question about clear coat yet but when I do I will post it. Jay
