New guy with another question

A 2000 Land Yacht needs the head lights replaced. I polished them but decided to replace them.

The lights are from early Ford and Mercury products. Having watched how they are replaced in those cars it is clear that is not the way to replace them in a MH. Originally designed to have access from the top to release the head lights the MH just does not have that avenue available.

If you have solved this puzzle please advise.

If you can match the lights to a Ford product, I would recommend going to a junk yard and getting replacements from those model cars. Mine is a 1997 diesel and I have glass headlights which are same as a 90-92 Cadillac.

Keep us posted with your solution.

I should also add that my headlights are recessed into the front fiberglass cap and are accessable from the inside with the front hood open.

I have replacement lights the problem they can not be accessed the same why as when mounted in a Ford product.
I am asking if anyone has changed the lights and if so how did they do it.
One options is to unscrew the adjuster till the light falls free. The problem there is you destroy any history of alignment that would allow you to preset the alinement.

On my 2000 35XC i replaced the headlights by unscrewing the ss cover plate. Then the light had 4 screws. Went to auto parts and easy replacement.

Thanks for you comments but I think the front of the 39 is different than the 35.

There is nothing accessible from the front and less from inside.

This is the head light in question. Note there is no access from the front.
When this light assemble was used in a 1999 Ford Explorer the access was from the top to remove the parking light fixture first. That gave hand room to get behind the head light and remove it.

Our headlights are from 1989-1992 Cadillac Eldorado and Deville. My right one got hit with rock this summer and now has rusted in bottom. Fogs up too. Looking for replacement parts when I have a chance.
