MCD duo blind upgrade really beats the heat

We just replaced our day/night shades with duo blinds from www.mcdinnovations.com and I'll say they are a great company to work with. We ordered from their downloadable form on the website and 2 weeks later we had custom dual roller blinds ready to install. One tip - with our valances we needed to completely extend the blinds to get our hands up there to snap them in place. We were surprised that our rig was at least 10 degrees cooler with just the black mesh day shades drawn down. I don't usually plug companies but this was really worth mentioning if you are considering updating your window coverings.

I'm posting some new photos and an old photo to see the difference.

Airstream Blinds

Idaho Jim,
Thanks for sharing, they look great. Did you build the new valances, including the one on the door?
We did a re-string job on several of ours and are real happy with them again, except for the roll up shade on the door. Will keep the link for the future.
Our biggest thing inside for cooling was to remove all the cabinets and ceiling panels and insulate the roof from the bottom. That and the Elastomeric rubber paint on the roof sand it's nice an cool.

Luckily, our valances we're in good shape so they're the originals. You just need small hands to install the blinds inside them.
