Lower body paint code for LY MH
Does anyone know or have the paint code for the lower bottom light gray (not the darker charcoal) used on the 1993 Land Yacht motorhome? Airstream has been contacted and they could not come up with any code that made sense to the paint manufacturer, which is Dupont, according to Airstream. I have all the original manuals and paperwork, but the code is not listed anywhere. Also I've checked all the cabinet backs as instructed by Airstream and there are no paint codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dont know if this will help any or not but here goes. I found the paint codes inside the closet on the door. The paint on our AS was made by sherman williams. I can retrieve those for you if you think it will help. uors is a 2005 LY

Most auto paint supply have great machines to read color from a part you bring in.
Some can even come out to the parking lot.
Get it 'read' from area that has not been in the sun all these tears.

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate your checking, Airstream did tell me that the paint used on my coach was Dupont, and with yours being so much newer I doubt if the Sherwin Williams would match. Thanks again, Randy.

Tried the color match as well, close - but still not a great match. Probably will have to resort to painting the whole side. Thank you for the reply. Randy

Paint Codes
This may help: Our 1994 Diesel Pusher Land Yacht came with an owners
manual that the previous owner added a lot of stuff to for his own use.
He lists paint as follows: Duplicolor T-183 for the metal grey and
" S-112 for the Shadow Grey
Now be it known that Duplicolor is owned by Sherman Williams and has a
chain of automotive paint stores selling to body shops and dealers. They
are the "official touch up paint" for aftermarket. I saw a show on SPEED TV about their color matching and products, I was impressed.
Try you local Sherwin Williams Auto Paint Store using these codes and see if they match.

You may also be able to find your paint codes by the using the coach identification tag, also refered to as the coach vin number. You have one vin tag for the chassis and one for the body. It should be located under the hood on the firewall, not the one on the dash, totaly different number. Use that number when you contact Airstream, they may have it in their archives. good luck.

Paint Codes
If in fact the paint code is T-183 by Duplicolor, my previous A/S Excella used the same paint code on the hitch assembly. I located the paint at O'Reilly's Auto Parts and purchased several cans. If I remember correctly, the costs was under $7.00 including tax.
Hope this helps.
