While resealing and painting the bottom of my 1993LY, I noticed inside both front wheel wells there was a couple of seams that run the length of the well (front to back) that needed attention that I caulk. Also in the back of wheel well, upper corner there is (get this)lauan plywood (believe it or not) that extends down into the wheel well, a sure spot to rot and fail, and let water leak in. Also when I replaced the carpet I could see several water stained spots on sub-floor around the front wheel area that I sealed prior to recarpeting. So in my opinion Airstream did a very poor job at the factory sealing wheel wells initially. Mine is a 1993 hopefully they made improvements by 2005 but I wouldn't bet on it. My susgestion would be to check out your wheel wells throughly. After I caulk large cracks and holes I sprayed complete wheel well with undercoating sound deading sealer, and haven't had a problem since. I didn't understand the other area you were referring to that was leaking.
