Know What This Switch Does?

Does anyone have an idea of what this switch function is on my '03 Land Yacht XC Motor Home? The on-off rocker switch between the generator hour meter and the solar charge indicator. It's secured with brass flat head wood screws instead of black round head screws like the others. It looks like it may have been added after production.

I can't find any reference to it in any of the documentation.

Thank you,

I could not enlarge the photo but my guess is, its either a water heater switch or possible a kill switch for the coach batteries. Usually Airstream had 2 switches for the water heater, one in bathroom and other on the control panel. My batter kill switch is near the side door but it makes more sense for it to be on the control panel.

Check and see if either of these might be the answer.

Smile Thanks Mike

Mike, I'm guessing you're right about the water heater. I pulled the switch and found that the wires to it are heavy gauge, like #14 solid copper home electric "romex" wiring, so I'm guessing it's the electric heat cutoff switch, just find it odd that it's not labled. In the bathroom there are two switches. One is a small 12v switch with red indicator light that I think feeds the 12v circuit to the water heater for LP use. The other is a typical home-type light switch labeled "water heater" for the 110v element.
The coach battery disconnect switch just inside the front entry door activates-deactivates a relay in the rear basement battery compartment turning off all 12v feed to the coach.
Thanks for your input.

Water heaters have used a relay mounted at the rear of the heater. The relay connects the heating element to the lead from the load center. Remote switch (s) open/close the relay. The different screws were added ... ???
Atwood (ours). 11 years. .... Uses the relay. Replaced after 7 years... No big deal, easy fix.

Thanks folks. Turns out it indeed is the switch that turns on and off the water heater in the electric mode. The switch for the lp mode (switching the 12 volt circuit) is located (and labled) in the bathroom under the vanity mirror, but this switch located on the control panel in the hallway controls the 110v electric circuit
