Insulation?? Roll unfaced Fiberglass insulation.

how much? Not much maybe 2 inches, but they lay it down then put the floor on top of it so it gets compressed between floor and frame and any metal frame components. Hangs down in between the spaces.

Covered underneath? Is it sealed or exposed to the elements? Only by the belly pan sheet metal. It tends to get pretty nasty down there after a while. Any water that does get into the belly the fiberglass likes to soak up like a sponge. Mice love to make cozy homes in it as well.

I recently drilled a 1" hole through my trunk. You have your wood flooring, 1" blue Styrofoam, wood again (I think) with flat sheets of aluminum sitting on the frame. Its about 2" thick total. I also recently gutted the rear bedroom walls and cabinets to repair water damaged laun and was surprised to find the entire top of the back end cap and all around both taillight housing has no insulation at all. So AS advertising full wall and ceiling and floor insulation is very misleading or untrue.

Yes, the same basic construction on my 92 LY. Flooring is wood OSB then about 1.5" of the same blue Styrofoam insulation as in the walls. I had a significant section of flooring that was damaged from water so I had to cut it out and replace the OSB. Got a real good lock at how it was constructed.

There are some pics in this thread:
