If it's till the original clear coat then the ammonia wont effect it.
I don't think thereis a clearcoat I would have went thru it with scotchbright

Not really. The Red Max is pretty tough stuff. I used a Brillo pad and couldn't get through it. Like I said, if the ammonia floor stripper removes it then you know its been coated. Since you don't really know the history of your unit I'd try it in a small area and see what happens.

I would use TSP Tri Sodium Phosphate to strip it. If a coating such as RedMaxPro was applied over stains then the stains would be sealed in, so stripping is a good idea. I believe that RedMax also produces a "remover" which may be the way to go. As always, try it on a small area as noted previously.

Got it all rubbed out

After 7 hours of Rubbing compound and a new wool pad for my buffer and alot of elbow grease, it ready for Liquid glass polish/finish . I now know the color is light gray and matches the driver door now. Notice the streaks are gone. How do you get to the top of the windshield to polish, any ideas?

Go to the dollar store and get you a bottle of Awesome. This stuff is great. Removes black streaks form campers and also will work wonders on your gutters at home.

I leaned a 6' ladder against 2 foot 2/4 wood boards between the ladder and the glass to polish the top end cap. I know it sounds dangerous, but it really doesn't put that much stress on the glass if you use long the boards to distribute the weight and angle the ladder at the same angle as the glass. Most of the weight is actually directed down.

What happened to your turn signals?

So after you got the streaks off and your coach all cleaned, you used a liquid polish to seal the outside? It looks like you got a nice shine.

I know I'll have to reapply it twice a year but I am very leary of floor polish.
