Happy to find help

Can someone tell me what the red toggle switch on the drivers door that reads 12 volt ? No one can tell me , not the mechanic, not the mobile repair man ?? What in the world. I have spent 8 thousand dollars on my 2002 land yacht 26 foot . Bought in Texas ( not an honest seller ) to say the least and took two weeks to drive to Alberta , Canada, with a dozen break downs all the way. I read lots of the advise here . Love this community. will wait for someone to reply to the toggle dilemma . Must say whatever it is it does not seem to work as it does nothing switching it back and forth ?

Welcome to the forum!

Could you post a photo of this toggle switch? The manual which Bob just posted does not seem to describe that switch, based on a cursory read. Do you have manuals for your unit?

Does the switch match the other dash etc. switches, or does it look like a former owner added it maybe? When you open the door, are there any extra wires going to the door frame, which might be part of an added switch?

Photos would help IMO.

Good luck,

Peter

Welcome sandrac

Maybe.. (I'm guessing) .. the switch that controls power to the small inverter that allows the front TV to be used on 12volt while traveling or when the vehicle is not attached to shore power.
With ignition on, use a plug in tester where the TV cord plugs into the 120volt outlet. Move the red 12volt switch to see if power turns on/off at the 120volt outlet.

In the Owners Manual there is a page in section B that describes the switch functions.

Good catch! That would be near the bottom on p. B-4 [PDF p. 16/146] in the manual which Bob Cross linked before:

sandrac, is this making sense?

On my 2005 land yacht, the red toggle on the driver's side door is for the heater on the drivers side view mirror.
