Generator Stopped running

I have the onan bgm gas generator. Does the generator run off the main fuel tank and does it have to be at a certain level to work?

Yes, the separate Generator Tube only goes 3/4 down the tank. At least thats how its set up on the 80/90 classics

Makes sense. That way, your generator can't leave you stranded; even when the generator quits, you still have a quarter-tank to get you back on the road to go buy more fuel.

Yep, pretty much the same on every motorhome I've been in.

Did you get a Fault Code?

The indicator light will repeatedly blink 3 blinks or 4 blinks at a time. Count the blinks. There will be a little pause between the two numbers.

A Code 36 is a Engine stopped without command by controller fault.

If you are under 1/4 tank of gas that could be the problem.
