We filled the tank on our 2002 land yacht yesterday for the last leg of our trip. We had about half a tank when we filled up. The gas gauge read empty after we filled up. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what the fix is?

Yep. Happened to me in my previous pickup truck. If you have an idea what kind of gas mileage you get, you can use the trip odometer to ensure you don't run out of fuel before you can get the sending unit replaced. Just remember to reset the trip odometer every time you fill up, and plan to fill up when you're about 100 miles shy of your minimum range, to allow a reserve just in case.

We do use the trip odometer and we will make sure to follow your suggestions until we figure out the problem and resolve it. Thanks.
